President’s message
As the days heat up and get longer it is a clear indication that Summer has begun. I want to wish you and your families a great summer. Get outside and BBQ, Take Trips and be sure to enjoy Family and Friends.
ACF ECB, ACF Joint meeting NH Food Bank
On June 13th we had our first Membership meeting with our Sister Club ACF NH. This meeting was at the NH Food Bank and our Host was Executive Chef Bradley Labarre CEC. There was a tour of the NH food Bank followed by a culinary demo from Dole & Bailey and Rational, this was an excellent meeting enjoyed by all who attended.
We plan on having other events with ACF NH in the future.
Jimmy D Golf Classic
This Year Jimmy D's Golf Classic was a huge success. We reached our goal of 100 players as well as adding some new sponsors. Next year we are expecting 125 golfers. I would also like to recognize the following chefs and members that make it possible to have this event without them it would not be possible.

Summer Vacation
As you all know the club will be on Vacation for July and August, but the Board and I will continue to meet and take care of club business, making sure we are ready to resume in the Fall.
2022 Fall Events
Wachusett Mountain BBQFEST
The Fall in New England brings plenty of things, Fall Harvest, Apples, Pears, Pumpkins, and end of the year Sweetcorn.
It’s also our time to get ready for the
Wachusett Mountain BBQFEST.
This is a big event when we get together with our ACF Sister Club ACF RI and prepare for one of our biggest fund raisers of the year. As you all know the money, we make at this event goes towards Culinary Scholarships, this ensures that we can help out Kids that otherwise would not have had the opportunity to attend a good Culinary School program. I will be sending out information on volunteering for this fundraiser please sign up for one or both days its sure to be a fun event.
ECB September Membership meeting.
Our September meeting will be at a new Caribbean Hot Spot, The Caribbean Breeze Restaurant in Nashua NH.
Executive Chef Gerald Oriol CEC will be our Host Chef. The Educational Component to the meeting will be focused on Caribbean Cuisine. Don’t miss this meeting its going to be a great one.
ECB October Membership meeting.
Octobers Meeting will be at the Beer works Restaurant in South Boston. This is sure to be good meeting I hope to see you there.
Novembers President Ball
This year’s Presidents ball will be at the Summerset Club in Boston. Executive Chef Michael Shannon CEC the (ACF National Chef of the Year) will be our Host.
This is going to be a great event. Please order your tickets soon this event will sell out fast.
ACF online learning
ACF is excited to announce the launch of ACF's Online Learning Center with additional opportunities to enhance your skills, advance your career and maintain your ACF certification. Take online classes, quizzes and practice written certification exams all in one place. Watch recorded sessions from ACF events if you were unable to attend. ACF members, your continuing education hours will be automatically uploaded to your profile.
New Membership Drive
The Epicurean Clubs Goal is to recruit new members. I would like to challenge each member to bring one new person to attend one of our membership meetings as a guest of the Club. Hopefully the new person will enjoy our meeting and find value in what we do and want to become a new ECB member. Let’s make it happen this year. The goal is to get 75-100 people to attend our meetings.

US Open
Tim Foley VP spent the last week with Chef Joe Leonardi CMC supporting the US open at the Brookline Country Club. Thank you, Tim for your support.

Above you will find some photos from the Massachusetts Restaurant Association (MRA) Ernie Tremblay Scholarship awards Gala.
The ACF Epicurean Club of Boston has been partnering with them for 12 years. This year we have reached 2 milestones. We have awarded a total of 52 scholarships to local culinary students which totals 106,000.00.
This year we awarded 5 scholarships at 2000.00 each for a total of 10,000.00 (we did the same last year) Thier was a total of 39 scholarships awarded this evening. Only 4 out of 5 Students that were our Recipients were able to attend they are from left to right Rachel Leibowitz, Ben Gaston, Zachary Callinan and Georgina Guiterrez. Note: Geneva Hsu was not able to attend.
