Dear Members,


Welcome back and Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer season and is ready for the exciting fall months ahead. September brings the return of school, sports, and festivals — a busy season for us all. While routines can be challenging to restart, they also bring new opportunities for growth and community.


This year, we’re especially focused on giving back more than ever. I’m excited to share our upcoming events and hope you’ll join in to strengthen our club, support one another, and take pride in our profession.

Both were inducted into the American Academy of Chefs Hall of Fame at the 2025 American Culinary Federation National Convention.

September 15 – Monthly Meeting with Tri-State Marketing

Hosted at the Tri-State Rational Kitchen, 50 Oliver Street, Suite W-1, North Easton, MA.Enjoy an evening of appetizers and dinner prepared with state-of-the-art equipment and live demonstrations of the latest high-tech tools.


September 29 – 5th Annual Connor Heffler Cops for Kids with Cancer Golf Classic

All proceeds support families with children battling cancer.Want to help? You can donate, volunteer, or play by signing up at www.connorhefflergolfclassic.com. Expect a day filled with food, raffles, and golf!


October 20 – Monthly Meeting at Tri-County Tech High School

Join us in Franklin, MA, for a live culinary presentation by Epicurean Chefs. Don’t miss it — sign up through our website.


November 10 – Chefs For Vets: Serving Those Who Served Our Country


American Veterans AMVETS logo

We are proud to launch this heartfelt event in honor of Veterans Day.The Epicurean Club of Boston will coordinate and prepare a dinner for veterans and their families at American Veterans Post 79, Natick, MA.


Active and retired service members, along with their families, are warmly invited. Please email me to reserve seats. Volunteers are encouraged — contact Chef John DiSessa, Chef Jimmy Demarizio, or myself. Many hands make light work!

Certification Update Sep. 1, 2025


ACF Certification exhibits a benchmark of excellence by demonstrating professional standards in culinary skills and knowledge of the food service industry. Certified chefs attain the well-deserved recognition and respect of their peers. To register for the exam, you can follow this link https://tinyurl.com/3ykmtbzt

Registering for ACF Practical Exams


  • ACF approval is required prior to registering for practical exams.

  • Register online or by submitting Practical Exam Candidate Registration Form.

  • The practical exam fee is $50 for ACF members and $100 for non-members. Test sites may charge an additional host site fee that is payable to the site hosting the exam.

  • Practical exam scores are valid for one year. We are ready and happy to help you prepare and answer any questions you may have about the certification.
