President’s Message — Nov 1, 2025

Tim Foley, HAAC

President, ACF Epicurean Club of Boston

Dear Members,

Welcome to the holiday season—fast, exciting times with family are here. On November 2, we’re hosting our 131st Epicurean Club of Boston Presidents Gala. Chef Jeremy DiStefano and his team will welcome us at The Dedham Country & Polo Club. I’m looking forward to their outstanding culinary talents.

Our October meeting at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School was excellent. The culinary students were fully engaged and prepared dinner for our meeting after a top-notch poultry lesson. Great job, Chef Adam Batchelder.

We also held our Fourth Annual Slider Challenge with ACF New Hampshire. The students brought creativity and passion. Nashua North High School took first place with their “Big Kahuna Slider”: Schwind & Sons ground chuck slider, pan-fried teriyaki Spam, sweet-and-spicy chutney, American cheese, red onion, and arugula, finished with a light teriyaki glaze. Great work by all.

The Epicurean Club of Boston—the oldest chefs’ club in America—prides itself on supporting our profession and our community. It’s important that we lead the way and help those in need. Over the next couple of months there will be many opportunities to volunteer. We’re always looking for helping hands across a variety of roles. Please reach out to Chef Jimmy DiMarzio, Chef John DiSessa, or me to get involved. Thank you.
